Lisa Murphy
Aftercare Assistant
Lisa has been a teacher for over thirty years. She started tutoring one-on-one with very young children, teaching them a phonics and reaching program. Then she went on to be a Preschool and Kindergarten teacher. She loves working with children and feels nothing is more satisfying than watching them learning new tasks and feeling proud of the work they are doing. This is Lisa’s fourth year at Oak Knoll. She values all that she has learned about Montessori and has very much enjoyed being an assistant in the classroom with the Snowy Owl’s children.
Lisa is very family-oriented. Her three children, Dillon, Graham and Hannah are all grown and doing well. She also has an almost three year old granddaughter, Cecilia, who she spent much of her free time with in the past few years! She also loves yoga, going for walks, cooking, sewing, knitting and spending time with friends.
